It is important to leave at least 8 mm space from left and right margin as well as 5 mm space from top and bottom margins. Please note this is based on TRIM Size measurement.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION

General Production Information

• All run-of-book (ROB) advertisements are printed by offset lithography.
• Regional, country, cover advertisements and boundin inserts are also printed by off-set lithography.
• The magazine is “Perfect” bound and employs the “2-up” binding method which can affect the design of bound-in inserts.
• Special attention should be given to bleed and spread advertisements to avoid the problem of missing elements, particularly in the book spine area (Gutter area: 3mm per page).
• 4 processing colour printing.

Digital Proofs

• When digital file is supplied, please enclose two copies of digital proof.
• Actual print run may be inferior (less sharp and bright) due to the high speed of machines.

Specification

• Proof paper: Creo Iris Pro Semi-Matt.
• Ink: Creo Iris Professional graphic art writing fluid. Deadline
• Final digital file: 35 days before publishing date.
• Digital proofs: 35 days before publishing date.

Digital File

• Final material: 35 days before publishing date.
• File format: Composite PDF file.
• Create PDF files with Acrobat Distiller (please do not create file with PDF Writer).
• Image must be in high resolution (min. 300dpi) and CMYK (4 colour printing) format.
• RGB not accepted.
• Each file should contain all pages in single page format only. Do not supply spread pages.
• Spot colours are not supported.
• Do not reduce sample colour and grayscale images below 300dpi and monochrome below 1200dpi.
• Select the maximum quality option for compressed images.
• Trim marks must be included in all colour.
• Fonts must be embedded.
• Type of media: CD-ROM, Zip Drive 100MB/ 250MB, DVD - RAM 5.2GB.

Plate Changes
There will be a cost of US$600 for plate change each time.

Special Colours
Special colours such as gold, aluminium and pantone, for example, are available and will be quoted on receipt of particulars.
