Spiced chilli hot chocolate recipe
Serve this rich and tasty chocolate drink in little espresso cups or Chinese teacups. Perfect for taking the chill out of a cold day.

Ingredients for spiced chilli hot chocolate
1¾ cups skim milk
1 dried red chilli
Pinch of ground cloves, plus extra for garnish
Pinch of ground ginger
50 g dark chocolate (70% cocoa solids), broken or roughly chopped into small pieces
2 tsp honey
Preparation for spiced chilli hot chocolate
1. Infuse the milk by placing it in a small saucepan with the chilli, cloves and ginger. Bring to a gentle simmer over a low heat and cook for one minute.
2. Turn off the heat, but keep the pan on the hotplate. Add the chocolate and honey and stir vigorously, until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth.
3. Remove the dried chilli and pour into four cups. Top each with an extra sprinkle of cloves and serve immediately.
