Here are some of my original thoughts. Hope that you like them. The ideal couple consists of a husband who is deaf and a wife who is blind. When looking for someone to marry open your eyes wide. When courting, close one eye. After marriage, close the other eye also. Don't forget that when you choose someone to marry you are choosing half the genes of your children. It is a stupendous responsibility. There can be no privacy between husband and wife. The ancestors of both side will intrude. Never underestimate the power of heredity. Treat your mother-in-law as if she is your dentist. You may not like her but you cannot leave her alone. Want to know what your wife (husband) looks like when she (he)is old? Look at her mother (his father). Never marry a perfectionist even if your are perfect. She (or he) will keep on changing the standard of perfection.
