Preheat oven to 180ºC (350°F/Gas 4).

In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in egg and liqueur.

Combine flour, baking powder and salt.

Gradually add to creamed mixture; mix well.

Shape dough into a ball; flatten into a disk.

Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 1 hour.
